Condition: Very Good – With pin/tack holes on the left border, very light horizontal scratches about 3″ up from the bottom edge, a few small stains & soiling, a bump on the lower right corner, small creases on the lower left corner, and a small hole just above Alida Valli’s right ear, as well as a second small hole about 2″ above Alida’s lips (both of these small holes may have been made by pins or tacks roughly removed).

Story Line

In postwar Vienna, Austria, Holly Martins, a writer of pulp Westerns, arrives penniless as a guest of his childhood chum Harry Lime, only to learn he has died. Martins develops a conspiracy theory after learning of a “third man” present at the time of Harry’s death, running into interference from British officer Major Calloway, and falling head-over-heels for Harry’s grief-stricken lover, Anna.
